PPT’s latest client is an award-winning Silicon Valley Technology Company leading the development of transparent photovoltaics with the world’s first transparent solar technology that will be utilized in a wide range of products as an invisible, onboard source of electricity. Their technology can be applied to the display area of electronic products—including wearables, tablets, internet-of-things devices, and digital signage—generating electricity to power these devices.
Current solar power is created in solar plants that take up lots of surface area far away from where the energy is consumed. It is estimated 15% of the energy is lost during distribution. This company’s energy technology allows large cities to be solar plants themselves by converting their windows on buildings into solar energy generators.
A 90-gallon enclosed cabinet solvent purification system with 5 solvents and an isocyanate scrubber was engineered for use by this prestigious company. Solvents supplied were THF, DCM, Toluene, Ether and DMF.
