Scaling Lab Operations with a Standardized QuickLab Water Platform
Project Overview

The Customer
Scaling analytical throughput and standardizing lab utilities across multiple suites to support lab operations.
The Challenge
The customer required a standardized yet flexible lab water platform that could be deployed quickly while adapting to the lab layouts, fixture counts, and instrument demand. The system needed consistent water quality and monitoring without increasing operator burden, all within an accelerated deployment timeline.
The Solution
PPT implemented a QuickLab RO/DI platform with configurable storage and recirculation options. This allowed a single core skid design to support multiple lab suites with minimal redesign.
Integrated PLC controls provided conductivity and resistivity trending, consumables tracking, and a centralized HMI for real-time system visibility. Remote alarm contacts were included for facility integration, enabling proactive monitoring without day-to-day complexity.
The Outcome
The standardized QuickLab platform enabled rapid installation and commissioning while maintaining flexibility for future lab expansion. Consistent tie-in details and a repeatable commissioning checklist reduced deployment time, supported operational consistency, and established a scalable purified water standard across multiple analytical suites.
