ReClaim — RO Reject Water Reuse for Toilets & Slop Sinks
ReClaim is a non-potable reuse module that pairs with large high-purity RO/DI systems to capture and redistribute RO reject water for approved uses. Designed for facilities subject to MWRA reuse requirements when discharging more than 400 GPM, ReClaim routes reclaimed water only to toilet flushing and slop sinks—never to drinking water, laboratory testing, or process use.
Non-Potable Use Only
ReClaim water is not suitable for drinking, handwashing, testing, or process use. Distribution is restricted to toilet flushing and slop sinks only.
QuickLab™ Turnkey Engineered Water Purification Systems
QuickLab™ is a focused, flexible platform of four turnkey engineered systems. Choose from two base units, each with one performance option, for a total of four configurations—right-sized by water usage, water quality, loop size, and loop flow.
COMPLIANCE-DRIVEN WATER REUSE
Why Reclaim?
High-purity RO/DI systems can discharge significant volumes of reject water. In jurisdictions such as the MWRA, facilities discharging more than 400 GPM may be required to reuse RO reject for approved non-potable applications.
ReClaim provides a dedicated, code-conscious path to reuse reject water, reducing sewer discharge volumes while maintaining strict separation from potable and process utilities.
Compliance Support
Helps facilities subject to MWRA or similar requirements address RO reject reuse when discharging more than 400 GPM.Reduced Sewer Discharge
Repurposes a portion of RO reject to approved non-potable fixtures, lowering overall discharge volumes to sewer.Hard Utility Separation
Maintains physical and controls-based separation from potable and process water systems to prevent cross-connection.Approved-Use Routing
Routes reclaimed water only to toilet flushing and slop sinks, with interlocks that prevent distribution elsewhere.

NON-POTABLE USE ONLY
Where ReClaim Can
and Cannot Be Used
ReClaim is engineered specifically for approved non-potable reuse applications. To protect people, processes, and compliance, distribution is intentionally limited and clearly defined.
Approved Applications
Toilet Flushing: Reclaimed RO reject water routed to toilet fixtures for non-potable use in accordance with approved designs.
Slop Sinks: Supports non-potable utility sinks used for cleaning and disposal activities where drinking-water quality is not required.
Not Approved / Not Suitable
Potable & Handwashing Fixtures: Not permitted for drinking water, handwashing sinks, eyewash stations, or emergency showers.
Laboratory Testing or Process Use: Not suitable for any lab testing, process water, equipment rinse, or cleaning-in-place applications.
Food Contact or Production: Not permitted for any food contact, preparation, or production activities.
Other Uses Without AHJ Approval: Irrigation or other reuse applications are not permitted unless expressly approved by the authority having jurisdiction.

CONFIGURATION OVERVIEW
Technical Specifications
ReClaim systems are configured to site-specific requirements, utility approvals, and reject profiles. The specifications below represent typical system characteristics; final configurations are determined during project design and AHJ review.
COMPLIANCE & APPROVAL SUPPORT
Engineered to Support Utility and AHJ Review
ReClaim systems are engineered to support local utility directives and code requirements related to RO reject reuse. System design emphasizes physical separation, controlled routing, and clear non-potable identification to help streamline review by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). Final approval and compliance determinations are project-specific and issued by the AHJ.
Physical Separation by Design
System layouts maintain positive isolation from potable and process water networks to reduce cross-connection risk during operation and inspection.
Controlled Routing to Approved Fixtures
Control logic and interlocks restrict reclaimed water distribution to toilet flushing and slop sinks only, with fail-safe diversion when criteria are not met.
Non-Potable Identification & Labeling
Non-potable piping, signage, and fixture identification clearly distinguish reclaimed water from potable and process utilities during inspections and audits.
Backflow & Cross-Connection Controls
Backflow prevention and isolation strategies are incorporated as required by site standards and AHJ guidance.
Metering for Reuse Documentation
Flow metering and totalization support documentation of reuse volumes for utility reporting and sustainability tracking, where required.
Approval Drawings & Submittals
Project-specific drawings, submittals, and documentation packages are provided to support design review, permitting, and commissioning.
MEASURABLE OUTCOMES

Frequently asked questions
Still Have Questions?
Common questions about ReClaim use cases, approvals, and how the system maintains separation from potable and process water. We’ve answered the most common ones below—but if there’s something else on your mind, we’re just a message away.
No. ReClaim water is non-potable and not safe to drink. It must never be connected to any drinking or handwashing fixtures.
No. ReClaim is not suitable for laboratory testing, process use, or equipment rinse. It is restricted to toilet flushing and slop sinks.
Some utilities (such as the MWRA) may require facilities discharging more than 400 GPM to reuse RO reject for approved non-potable applications. ReClaim supports that effort by capturing and routing reject to approved fixtures.
Through physical isolation, backflow prevention strategies, and controls/interlocks that restrict distribution to approved endpoints, supported by clear non-potable labeling.
Yes. ReClaim can provide status and metering points to your BMS/SCADA for monitoring and reporting.
